Pupils say hello to brand new school
The new facility, which along with the Eastwood high sports centre is a £29.8 million project, will open for business on Monday.
New head boy Mark Kyle sang the praises of the new state of the art building.

Hide AdThe 17-year-old told The Extra: “It is unique, bright, coulourful and creative – everything you could want in a school. “Although I liked my time in the old building, everybody could see it was getting a bit tired and worn down.
Head girl Bianca Deladia added: “I am blown away. It’s a welcome change and we are all really excited.
“I am jealous of all the incoming first years who will get to spend six years here!”
Meanwhile, the new Eastwood high sport centre - open from Monday - will be used by pupils during school hours, and is available to the entire community in the evening and at weekends.

Hide AdAmong the features of the new centre will be a swimming pool, athletics track, hockey pitch an two four-court sports hall.
Councillor Mary Montague said: “This is a first-class resource not only for the pupils ofEastwood High but for the whole community”.
