Partner of East Dunbartonshire MP Amy Callaghan able to visit her in hospital for first time
Sean McLaughlan tweeted a photo from the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow yesterday (Wednesday, July 15) of them both, fully masked, and said: “Today was a brilliant day.
“By us all collectively sacrificing, sticking to the rules and looking out for each other, it means I’m now allowed to visit Amy.

Ms Callaghan (28), was found collapsed at home by Sean on Wednesday, June 10, and had to undergo emergency neurosurgery.
Sean told the Herald today that Amy is continuing to make good progress and also thanks everyone for sticking to guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic to enable lockdown rules to be relaxed.
The local MP also wants to make clear her constituency work is continuing while she recovers: her office is still open and her team available for all those who require help and support.

Dozens of well wishers have reacted to Sean’s tweet, including Glasgow Labour MSP Pauline McNeill, who tweeted: “Awwww fabulous news. Pass on my regards to her.”
