Cheque out the cash the kids are getting
Provost Walker was on hand recently to hand over a £1,500 cheque to Cash for Kids onbehalf of the ladies of East Dunbartonshire.
The cheque is one of two being donated to support different charities, with one for the same amount also going to St Margaret of Scotland Hospice.

Hide AdThe money was raised at a charity ladies lunch and Christmas shopping event, hosted by East Dunbartonshire Provost Una Walker at the Eagle Lodge, in Bishopbriggs, on Sunday, November 1, attended by over 130 local ladies.
Handing over the cheque, Provost Walker said: “I’m delighted that we raised so much for this very worthwhile cause.
“Cash for Kids does such amazing work with children across the west of Scotland and I am thrilled we could help in this way.
“I’d like to say a big thank you to all the big-hearted ladies of East Dunbartonshire who attended the lunch and donated so generously.”

Hide AdGrace Wilson of Radio Clyde received the cheque for Cash for Kids.
She said: “We were honoured to be chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the Provost Ladies’ Lunch and greatly appreciate this fantastic amount raised.
This will go towards supporting children living in poverty in the local area.”
Cash for Kids lends a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children aged 0 to 18 years across 21 areas in the UK by allocating grants.
All the money stays in the area it was raised in.
