Music, comedy and literature of Glasgow have proven to be rich seams of inspiration for television shows over the years. 5. Tutti Frutti

6. The Crow Road
The four-part television miniseries is an adaptation of Iain Banks novel. Broadcast in 1996, the cast included Joe McFadden, Bill Paterson and Peter Capaldi. It was an instant classic.
7. The Steamie
The 1987 play by Tony Roper is set in the Carnegie Street steamie somewhere in Glasgow on Hogmanay 1950. STV adapted the play for television in 1988. A window on the lives and aspirations of a group of Glasgow women, The Steamie gained immediate popularity.
8. High Times
The series set in a Glasgow tower block ran 2004–2008. based around the lives of two flatmates and their neighbours. It starred Alan McCafferty and Stephen McCole.
