The food and drink scene in Glasgow has attracted international attention from publications including The New York Times and Condé Nast Traveller over the last decade. 17. Crabshakk - Romy Gill
The popular fish restaurant on Argyle Street is a mainstay of the Finnieston food scene. The restaurant opened a second location on Vinicombe Street recently - actor Sam Heughan is a fan.
18. The Ben Nevis - Olly Smith
Critic Smith described the pub as one of the cosiest in the city and is always impressed with
the large whisky selection on offer. He wrote, “I come
here for whisky and I never leave disappointed.”
19. Ox and Finch - Gordon Ramsay
Staff at Finneston’s Ox and Finch were left surprised when celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay
popped in for a visit. He sampled some of their dishes and described his experience as a
“Great dinner”. The restaurant was named as the best in Glasgow’s 100 Best Restaurants in 2019 and offers a wealth of modern small plates.
20. Celentano’s - Grace Dent
The Italian-inspired restaurant is situated near Glasgow’s Necropolis and has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand award for the last two years.
