Pipers celebrate with Cowal victory
FOUR decades and still going strong — that's Milngavie Pipe Band which has just celebrated its 40th birthday.

To mark the occasion over 160 members, past and present, together with supporters of the band, recently attended an anniversary dance n Kessington Hall, Bearsden.

Guests on the evening included Neil Whitelaw representing the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, founder member Iain Rutherford and MP Jo Swinson.
Neil presented medals to all members who had been involved in winning the Cowal Championships last year and the trophy for the most important player of the year, which went to Graham Smith from Milngavie.
